Eden Stein, owner and curator
Since opening the award-winning Secession Art & Design in 2007, Eden Stein has become a well-known art consultant distinguished by her curatorial approach, resourcefulness, connection to the San Francisco community and hands-on personal rapport with many faithful collectors and over 50 dedicated artists. She is the curator of rotating collections for various San Francisco restaurant and bar favorites including The Front Porch, Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack and Blackbird.
In her curatorial practice, Eden seeks to document moments and capture the essence of a home or interior by forming unique juxtapositions of unexpected art pairings. Her distinct taste and approach recognizes intersecting threads, patterns and concepts that, when placed together, communicate a central vision. The personality of each piece is clearly represented to work and play cohesively in a room.
Eden has fostered collaborations with a varied group of talented artists throughout the stages of their careers. Her team of artists can create customized work to meet any specific design need. By initiating a relaxed, trustworthy tone with both clients and creators Eden encourages productive connections and relationships as well as a long-lasting loyal following.
Eden’s personal curating services are an exceptional experience for each client that lasts well beyond the purchasing artwork. Using an impactful contrast of intuition for her client’s personal taste, combined with a precise understanding of spatial relationships, Eden aims to enhance the way you inhabit your personal space through the placement of fine art that is carefully selected for you based on your taste and space. Eden introduces you to artwork as she would a friend – something to be welcomed into your home and treasured.
