July 15, San Francisco, CA – Secession Art & Design’s 8th Anniversary Show is a two-person exhibition of new works from San Francisco-based artists Heather Robinson and Andreina Davila. The exhibition will be on view from July 28 to September 27, 2015 at Secession Art & Design, 3235 Mission St, San Francisco. The artists will be in attendance at the anniversary celebration on Friday, August 14, 6:30-9:30pm.

Secession Art & Design’s 8th anniversary show explores textured pattern and connection. In her series, [i am], Davila abstractly creates topographical worlds that embrace the balance of a shared experience through encaustic and water-based mixed media. Nestled in the gallery, Robinson has created her decorative exhibition, Excess, using acrylic and fabric on wood panels. A visual confection of grids, geometrics, florals, and color elevates the decorative in unexpected ways, with a beautiful burst of luminosity and life.

Secession Art & Design opened our first Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson. In 2010 and 2012 through 2014, Secession was awarded Best Art Gallery by San Francisco Bay Guardian readers, for continuing to push the envelope in exhibitions and wearable art.
