Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

“Who Made Your Clothes?”

Secession Art & Design is home to many independent clothing makers. These designers share a passion for the slow fashion movement, where clothing is long-lasting and unique. Each small company has a story to tell, and you are part of this story when you shop our wearable art collection. Some details that we love are hidden pockets, clever cats printed in a houndstooth pattern, eco fabrics, quilted textures, and those looks that get you compliments all day long. When you shop, ask “Who made your clothes?”
