Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

In such a heated political time, let's take a step back to a simpler time when you could tell the difference between truth and imagination. Just like children, our adult brains crave a story. Legend has it that the Loch Ness Monster, aka Nessie, inhabits the deep, freshwater loch of the Scottish Highlands. In 1933 construction on a road running along the north shore, involving considerable drilling and blasting, forced the creature from the depths into the open meriting numerous sightings. A London surgeon was able to capture its image in a dubious photograph that forever attests to the monster’s elusive existence.
