Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Brunch, Lowriders, and Secession

Saturday, July 8

Mission Bernal is kicking off this year's King of the Streets lowrider cruise. They will be in our neighborhood around 11:30am on their way to Fort Mason. For a glimpse of these works of art, take to the streets and get brunch at El Buen ComerFront Porch, or Old Bus Tavern. Quick grabs in the neighborhood are El Ahorro Deli, Cafe St. Jorge, and Cafe 78, to name a few. Come celebrate this amazing culture that makes everybody so happy.

The lowriders will be parked near 24th street at 6pm and cruisin' all night up and down Mission Street. Support your late night clubs and eats and welcome the lowriders back to Mission Street for a night.

Secession will be open 12-8pm. Shop local and say hello!
