Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

"Ecological Resilience" Artist Talk Thursday 6-8pm

20% of all art sales being donated to Mexico Earthquake relief

Secession Art & Design is hosting an artist talk Thursday, September 28th, 6-8pm,featuring Heather Robinson, Cindy Shih and Victoria Veedell. "Ecological Resilience" is a three-artist show focused on nature, pattern, light, color, and symbolism as a powerful form of resilience.

This show inspired each artist to think about the people, places, architecture, nature, and values that they hold dear. Through art they tell a powerful story. Please join us for a moment to connect and share what art means to these three women artists.

20% of all art sales throughout the gallery Thursday-Saturday 12-8pm will be donated to earthquake victims in Oaxaca, Chiapas and Mexico City. Our thoughts go out to these communities that need to be rebuilt. Through art we can heal and support each other.

Shop our online art collection using in-store pickup and we'll donate 20% to the earthquake relief. (We'll still donate even if you need us to ship the work, too!)

You rock,
Eden
