Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Gift for yourself this weekend

It's the last weekend of 2018

Secession Art & Design is back open after a much-needed Christmas Day break. I rested, feasted, and saw my family. I am 6 months pregnant, so everybody was all about the baby. I am back from my quick getaway just in time for the last weekend of 2018. This is the perfect weekend to gift for yourself, use gift certificates, or gift together. This is a time to refresh your life with independently made clothing or jewelry, or to hang a new piece of art. What will you choose as your special piece that will close this year and welcome 2019?

Thank you for being part of our Secession family - we look forward to all that is to come. You can shop our collection this Thursday - Sunday 12-7pm. We're closed on New Year's Day, then open again regular hours starting January 2, 2019.

Cheers, Eden

P.S. Did you get gifted the wrong size t-shirt, or a piece of jewelry that is not quite your style? Our exchange window on holiday gifts ends 10 days after Christmas (January 4, 2019).
