Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Zuri Dresses & Secession Art

A vibrant combo for your new spring look

Secession Art & Design loves bright color, the way that it makes you feel and gives you confidence. A new box of Zuri dresses just arrived today. These dresses with pockets are fair trade and made with love in Kenya. Talented New York designers Sandra Zhao and Ashleigh Miller have an eye for textiles and a passion for building community. Secession is honored to be Zuri's first store in San Francisco. Thank you for creating this amazing must-have dress that can be worn in so many ways.

When I walk into a room and see a painting that makes me happy, it's the same feeling I get when I put on my Zuri dress. Come see the new patterns we have in our collection! I'm excited to see which dress and art speaks to you. Our gallery & boutique is open 12-7pm all weekend long.

See you soon, Eden

PS: Diane Chebab recently wrote about Zuri and Secession in her Away from Africa blog - thanks, Diane!
