Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Artists' Talk with Hilary Williams, Phillip Hua, and Colette Hannahan

Friday, January 18, 6-8pm

Secession Art & Design is hosting an artist talk and happy hour on Friday, January 18, 6-8pm. This is your opportunity to meet the artists and ask questions about their process. 15% off art in this collection one night only.

All three artists created a collection inspired by the natural and urban world. Hilary Williams owns a farm in Santa Rosa. She painted California trees: white oaks, redwoods, and Joshua trees. Phillip Hua printed onto rice paper golden scenes of nature that blend a background of numbers and intensely bright florals and birds. Colette Hannahan loves painting Bernal, Ocean Beach, and Alamo Square skies above the houses and treetops in her unique abstract style.

We are so curious about what you will ask each artist. See you on Friday for a glass of wine, and thank you for supporting local artists.

All of the art on the walls is available for sale and you can take it home right away. Stop by to see in person or purchase online using the in-store pickup option.

Cheers
Eden
