Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Art: a Thanksgiving conversation starter

Shop Thursday - Sunday, 12-7pm

Secession Art & Design is thankful to everyone for supporting our gallery and boutique, showcasing over 70 independent artists and designers. You can't choose your family, but you can choose your art!

This weekend we will be selling our collection right off the walls, so you can decorate your home before the family arrives and the turkey goes in the oven. These are the final days to see our current show, Modulation, featuring Carol Pesce-Imlay, Kate McKinley, Steve Javiel, Heather Robinson, Jamai Lowell, and Jeff Klarin. They come together under one roof to play with synths, flowers, coffee, and pattern. An unexpected dialogue that challenges what should go together. I look forward to seeing you and curating your home.

With gratitude
Eden
