Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

I am celebrating twelve years of owning and curating Secession Art & Design! I still remember the day that I made the leap from being a preschool teacher to opening my own business. Growing Secession has been a labor of love. Thank you to everyone who has helped us evolve and keep thriving.

I have been looking through old photos from when I moved the gallery two blocks from its original spot into our current 1500 square foot dream gallery. I remodeled a shuttered restaurant into the gorgeous retail space you see today. I will look back on this time in my life with pride, knowing that I've created a space where community and creativity come together. Save the date: Friday, August 2, 6-9pm to celebrate Secession!
