Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Artist Happy Hour at Secession

Friday, September 20, 6-8pm

Have you ever been curious about how art is made? Stop by the gallery to ask our artists about their process, inspiration, or their studios.

Secession Art & Design’s show, Luminous, features paintings by Susan ParkerHeather Robinson, and Stephanie Steiner, three San Francisco artists who create art that encourages you to get lost in the detail and textures. These paintings invoke movement with attention-grabbing rhythm and pattern. Through painting, each artist fills the canvas with light and color, allowing the viewer to experience the art in new ways each time.

Please join us on Friday, September 20, 6-8pm to meet the artists before the end of the exhibition.
