Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Art fundraiser to save Secession ends this weekend!

Secession Art & Design's fundraiser show, Resilience, features fifteen artists who are donating 100% of art sales to the survival of our gallery and boutique. Our goal is to not take out another loan, but to sell art as a way to raise capital so we have a chance to meet our expenses and think about growth.

When you purchase art from this show, you not only get an amazing piece for your home, but you help us reach the dream of a future that includes our small business. Since the start of the pandemic in San Francisco, 50% of retail and over 600 restaurants have closed permanently. Our hope, with your help, is to be a success story that survived the impossible and persevered during a failing economy, one sale at a time.

You can shop art online or schedule a 30 minute private shopping appointment to see the show in person. Thank you for being our loyal community!

You rock,
Eden
