Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Curbside hours and a virtual hug

Secession Art & Design is open for curbside pickup. The way this works is: you shop our gallery or boutique online, then schedule a time to quickly say hello at the store and collect your purchases at a safe distance. This also means that my store will be closed to the public until further notice and customers are not allowed into the gallery and boutique. Instead of letting emotions get the best of me with all these limitations and challenges, I am focused on the future. I am trusting that you will not forget us and shop with us in this new way.

Instead of having a set schedule or store hours, I decided to do my curbside pickup by appointment. This way I can create a good family and work balance. Thank you for being my rockstar customers and sending me virtual hugs. Your support gives me hope that Secession will still be part of the neighborhood for years to come.

You rock, Eden

P.S. Text me to schedule a Facetime virtual shopping appointment to see our full collection or to let me be your personal stylist.

I bought a new t-shirt today for everyone in our house from my favorite local art curator, Eden Stein at Secession Art and Design. We haven’t purchased anything but the necessities in ages and this felt like a very luxurious thing to do. I placed my order online and she brought it out to my car. I have to say that I think it’s the ideal way to shop.
