Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Last chance to see our 13th anniversary art show

Final weekend to see art by
Heather Robinson, /eE.l.os/ and Ytaelena Lopez

Shop online or by appointment

Secession Art & Design's 13th Anniversary show closes this weekend. I hope you can stop by the gallery to see all the beautiful art in person. Hop on to our calendar to schedule a 30-minute private appointment or virtual call, or shop art online.

Continuum features work by in-house artist Heather Robinson, collaborative /eE.l.os/ and Ytaelena Lopez. Together this exhibition shows art in the time of social distancing, political unrest, and those sweet and thought-provoking moments in all the chaos.

Heather's bright colors, textures, and patterns are geometric happiness that brings joy to the home. /eE.l.os/ is a collaboration between Andreina Davila and Ytaelena Lopez, who beautifully show the emotions of the animal world. Ytaelena's own art captures vignettes from Black Lives Matters protests and her experiences with protest in Venezuela.

See you soon, Eden
