Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Eden 10K Fundraiser!

Donate, hire me, or buy art

Hi friends and family,

I am hosting a fundraiser to raise much-needed funds to help with some immediate expenses while I actively search for jobs, build my art consulting clientele in Sonoma County, repair my car and pay for preschool. My physical storefront closed in San Francisco one year ago, but I have kept the Secession Art & Design online store active, all the fixtures in storage, and my graphic designer on the payroll. I also have debt from the COVID loans that were essential, but will not be paid off for 3-5 years. The money that I saved to last me one year during this transition is now gone, and I am trying to rebuild my reserve, but it will take time.

I feel 100% at home in Sonoma County and know it was the best long-term decision for my family. I'm trusting that I will land a job that will allow me to connect to a cause and support my community. My hope is I can continue to keep my virtual Secession presence, host occasional art pop-ups, and consult for art clients as a side project. Right now, I need your help to literally buy some time while I keep my eye on the prize and figure out this professional pivot puzzle.

My goal is to raise 10K in the next 10 days. You can support me by donating, buying art, or hiring me as a personal art curator for your home or business.

XO Eden
