Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Art that captures the sky

So many of my most memorable moments include gazing at a beautiful sunset, exploring cloud formations, or watching the horizon on the ocean. My quest is to find art that brings the outdoors into my art collector's abode.

These paintings have so much texture and movement. You will catch yourself at home staring at art and feeling total peace. What summer travels have you reminiscing about the sky?

All art is available in our virtual gallery. At checkout, choose the free local art delivery for purchases over $500.

Save the date for our 16th anniversary, August 24-27th, with an SF Art pop-up in Bernal Heights. Sixteen artists have been painting a collection inspired by texture and color. I will use my curating eye to transform 307 Cortland from an empty storefront into a gorgeous, airy gallery.
