Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Home curation perk as your donation to Secession's 10k fundraiser

I am on day 8 of my challenge to crowdfund 10k in 10 days, to raise some much-needed working capital for Secession and my family. Donations are always appreciated, but you can also participate by purchasing art or exploring my home curation services.

This year, I have been offering home curation to clients - helping them to rearrange art collected over a lifetime, donate what is no longer inspiring, and bring in new art to change the energy in rooms that need a little love. I recently got the pleasure of doing art placement in a three-story San Francisco home. Over fifty art treasures and family photos were reimagined and thoughtfully hung to tell a story in every room. It is so satisfying to see all the art on the walls in a new way.

Happy Collecting, Eden

P.S. Save April 25-28 for our SF Spring Art Pop-Up on the horizon. I look forward to a chance to open a gallery for four days and see you all in person.
