Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

 

Join us for Lit Crawl at Secession

Secession Art & Design is excited to host Lit Crawl this year, in collaboration with the Adulting Well Podcast. Our theme is "The '90s Project," featuring Fred Schrunk, Kevin McCracken, Martin Sprouse, Michelle Cruz Gonzales, and Tracey Helton Mitchell.

The '90s were a special, pre-Internet moment in time when creativity was channeled through writing, music, and activism. Our storytellers' early years in punk rock-inspired them in their adulthood to become community leaders and start small businesses with the same badass passion. They'll tell stories of a time when people had a copy of Maximum Rocknroll in hand instead of a cell phone. Join us this Saturday, October 19 at 8pm sharp to hear their stories.
