Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

New Spring Art & Clothing online in our mini-boutique

Secession Art & Design is my home away from home. Our gallery and boutique is closed to the public until May (or longer) as a non-essential business during the pandemic. I strongly believe that art is essential, and I have shown up every day to support the 70+ artists and designers that I represent. It brings me great joy to curate, so my self-care this month was hanging a brand new show, featuring vibrant abstracts by our in-house artist Heather Robinson and bright dreamy urban landscapes by Nathalie Fabri

I am really excited that while you are sheltering at home you can now shop our mini-boutique. You will be able to still get onesies for baby showers, t-shirts for gifts, or clothing or jewelry for yourself online. When you shop our gallery & boutique, you're sending us a message that you would like to see us in the future. By shopping, donating, or buying gift cards, you are making a difference in building our cash flow so that we can meet immediate expenses. Every sale matters!
