Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Eden on San Francisco Diaries and Raddle

Secession Art & Design is my passion and my dream job. What keeps me showing up, day after day, is knowing that I am making an impact in my community and creating a space for art, fashion, and culture to collaborate and thrive.

Recently, I had the honor to tell a story on the San Francisco Diaries podcast, a spin-off from the talented ladies at Muni Diaries. I recorded at home during the beginning of the shelter-in-place, with Luca playing in the background. My other amazing opportunity was to be interviewed by Tex Dworkin of the newly launched brainstorming community Raddle. This week, take some time to listen to and read inspiring stories of real people sharing their experience in urban life and entrepreneurship. See you soon!

You rock,
Eden

P.S. Please support Secession by shopping from our community of 70+ independent artists and designers. Inviting you back into the gallery and boutique is really special. We have three convenient ways to do this:

Spending one-on-one time with my customers during these sessions has made me feel connected and excited that I still get to help you with gifts and personal shopping.
