Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Secession Art & Design loves the color palette of Halloween. My son is dressing up as a dinosaur superhero, my husband as a taco, and I found beautiful monarch wings to wear as I trick-or-treat with an enthusiastic toddler.

I have been focused on costumes, but also what pieces at the boutique will keep me warm and stylish as I embrace my spooky side. I find myself being drawn to oxidized jewelry with a dark patina, dresses in bold tonal patterns, and a solid black poncho. Stop by this weekend in costume for some local shopping. Happy Halloween!
