Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

New sweater dresses & shrugs!

We're open Thursday-Sunday 12-6pm

Secession Art & Design's late summer collection features one of our favorite eco-friendly designers, Miranda Caroligne. Her reconstructed sweater shrugs and dresses make great layers when Karl the Fog takes over San Francisco. I personally own one of her dresses, and a few of the cashmere shrugs. I love the way her flirty dresses make you feel like you are wrapped in a warm hug.

Miranda takes a less-than-perfect sweater (with a stain or hole) and turns it into a statement piece. I look forward to showing you all the beautiful textures, patterns, and color blocking in person. Stop by this weekend for a little shopping!

P.S. These shrugs and dresses are not available online. Each one is so unique that it is necessary to try it on. Thank you for making the boutique a destination for choosing the one that speaks to you. Masks are now mandatory when shopping.
