Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Eden's birthday fire relief fundraiser

We're open Thursday-Sunday 12-6pm

Secession Art & Design is my home away from home. I am thankful to be able to curate our art collection at the gallery. This weekend for my birthday, 8/26 to 8/29, I'm donating 20% of our art sales to the Caldor Fire relief. Over four hundred homes and 126,000 acres have been lost. Three artists (3 Fish Studios and Fernando Reyes) in our community have evacuated. They anxiously wait for the fire to be contained so they can hopefully go back to their homes and studios in Amador County.

A portion of this donation will also go to Gypsy Sisters in Guerneville. The owner has had her store for fifteen years and lost everything to a fire that happened on Main Street this week. Thank you for the birthday gift of buying art and supporting these fundraising efforts.
