Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Sutro Tower art & cashmere ponchos

Gift Art Pop-up Nov 17-20 at 307 Cortland

Secession Art & Design's Gift Art pop-up is right around the corner. Our small-but-mighty team is putting everything online so you can shop from home early and pick it up at the event in Bernal. Heather Robinson created ten new Sutro Tower paintings that are 8x8", the perfect gift for someone who loves SF, Karl the Fog, and abstract art. Inspired by having to layer in the city, Eden & Zoe designed the perfect cashmere poncho/scarf in ten different colors, for when you want to watch the sunset and the fog rolling in.

I have to say, the view of Sutro keeps me in awe the moment I exit the Rainbow Tunnel and drive onto the Golden Gate Bridge. This KQED video from a few years back rocks our world, watching an elevator ride to the top of the tower and how the city looks below. Now you know why we love Sutro-inspired art & design.

XO, Eden

PS: If you are local, preorder online while these are in stock, and choose to pick them up at our Gift Art Popup, November 17-20 at 307 Cortland in SF. We can also ship anywhere in the US.
