Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Transfer pins and Sutro magnets that spark conversation

Save the date! SF Gift Art Pop-up Nov 17-20 at 307 Cortland

Affordable urban prints, transfer pins, and Sutro magnets are starting to arrive online for early shopping in our virtual boutique, just in time for our Gift Art Pop-up, November 17-20 at 307 Cortland. Our good friend Nate Tan, the famous designer behind the hyper-local brand New Skool, has created a series of gifts that are small enough to make the perfect stocking stuffer, or mail across the country to remind an old friend about a mutual love for SF. He also designed the art for our event.

I am so lucky to have multi-talented friends who are always game for my wild ideas and inspirations. I look forward to curating this new pop-up gallery and seeing all of you in Bernal!

With gratitude, Eden

PS: If you are local, preorder online while these are in stock and choose to pick them up at our Gift Art Pop-up, November 17-20 at 307 Cortland in SF. We can also ship anywhere in the US.

PPS: New Skool has an amazing collection of urban clothing for the entire family. Hop onto his site and drop Nate a note that Secession sent you.
