Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Hand-dyed dresses and vibrant metallic watercolors

Save the date! SF Gift Art Pop-up Nov 17-20 at 307 Cortland

I got a fortune cookie that read Look around: happiness is trying to catch you. This has become my mantra as I prepare for our SF Gift Art Pop-up, happening November 17-20 at 307 Cortland.

Curation and connection with artists and designers is my happiness. Jenny Feinberg created two paintings with watercolor, gouache, spray paint, acrylic ink & metallic pigment. Jenny's energy and the vibrancy of colors from her Woven series captivated my attention. When I saw these paintings, I knew I had to bring back our top-selling clothing line Vivid Element for our four-day event. Her sustainable dresses are walking art. She hand-dyes the colors of each dress to fit perfectly on every curve. Excited to show you this collection in Bernal.

With gratitude, Eden

PS: If you are local, preorder online while these are in stock and choose to pick them up at our Gift Art Pop-up, November 17-20 at 307 Cortland in SF. We can also ship anywhere in the US.
