Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

New Art by Hilary Williams and Olena McMurtrey

SF Gift Art Pop-up Nov 17-20 at 307 Cortland

Secession Art & Design's Gift Art Popup opens this Thursday 11am-7pm at 307 Cortland. Today's featured artists are Hilary Williams and Olena McMurtrey. These two talented ladies created art that gives that "wow" factor when your family comes over for holiday parties.

Last night, when I was having dinner with my family, the full moon glowed so brightly through the window. We were all mesmerized. These moments of awe fill you with childhood wonder. I get this feeling when I see the twinkling city lights at night, go round the bend and spy the ocean, and listen to the symphony of birds living in the oak tree next door. What stops you in your tracks?

These pieces are beautiful online, but even more dynamic in person. I look forward to seeing you in Bernal this week to show you my latest dream curation.

With gratitude, Eden

PS: If you are local, preorder online while these are in stock and choose to pick them up at our Gift Art Pop-up. We can also ship anywhere in the US.
