Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Secession Gift Art Pop-up opens today

Secession Art & Design's Gift Art Pop-up opens today at 11am! I am over the moon about this collection of art, clothing, and small gifts.

Yesterday I walked into an empty 307 Cortland and my trusted team transformed it into a gallery. I couldn't wait to wake up this morning, drop Luca off at his amazing Santa Rosa preschool, and hop onto the freeway to San Francisco. The fog broke and a beautiful glow filled the sky as I went over the Golden Gate toward Bernal. I got that magical Secession feeling of putting the key in the lock and opening the shop for the day.

I look forward to seeing you in the neighborhood!

XO Eden

PS Whisky Eve is happening early this year. Please join us on Friday, November 18, 6-8pm to have some cheer, meet our artists, and shop!
