Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Art & Pizza!

Secession is passionate about art, food, and people. Our next featured artist is Nathalie Fabri. Her newest floral cityscape is dreamy. Right away I could picture it being part of our 15th Anniversary Popup. The layered botanical surrealness shows the slow and fast movement of living in an urban environment. This painting is available to purchase online! If you want to pick it up at our pop-up at 307 Cortland on August 4-7 choose the local pickup option at checkout.

Natalie's painting reminds me of long walks through SF. One of my favorite destinations is Gialina Pizza in Glen Park. The owner Sharon will welcome you in with love and a story. My mouth is watering thinking about their arugula salad with Frog Hollow peaches, goat cheese, and toasted pistachios. I like when I can go with my family and share a couple of different pizzas like the Yukon Gold Potato, Mushroom, or their brilliant four cheese. After your meal, you can take a walk up the street to Glen Park Canyon, one of the best places to explore nature in San Francisco.

XO Eden

Thank you Gialina Pizza for sponsoring our 15th Anniversary Popup!
