Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Secession Art & Design is celebrating summer with artwork by Hilary Williams. For our 15th anniversary, she created an original painting inspired by the ocean and the wildflowers that are abundant this time of year. Her studio is located on a beautiful farm in Santa Rosa, where she grows much of her own food and raises baby goats. It was my lucky day when Hilary mentioned the house next door was available. I still remember the day that I mentioned to Hilary I was thinking of opening a gallery, and I'm so glad that fifteen years later we get to be neighbors in Sonoma County.

Our newest sponsor for our anniversary, Orion Custom Framing, is offering 20% off framing Hilary's urban prints. This frame shop is the new tenant in our beloved old SF storefront on Mission Street. I am so happy that the brick and mortar is in good hands and that a community-minded business took over the location.
