Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Eden podcast interview by artist Lady Henze

I recently drove to Oakland to record a conversation with visual artist Lady Henze on her podcast, No Cap with Britt. Always exciting and nerve-wracking to speak into a microphone and hear my voice. Britt is skilled at getting a story!

There is something special about listening to her candidly talk with creatives for overan hour and really get to know people. Each episode feels like you are overhearing two friends connecting in real time, going deep into memories, adventures, trials, and successes. I'm honored to be guest #11 and to feature her art in our SF Gift Art Pop-Up.

You can listen to my story on Spotify or Apple Podcast or shop Lady Henze art on our virtual gallery.

Cheers, Eden
