Secession Art & Design Blog

Secession Art & Design opened our Bernal Heights location in August of 2007, and has since grown to represent over 50 independent artists and designers. Our retail location is a gallery, boutique, and workspace combined, creating an untraditional storefront that allows customers to experience curated shows by owner, Eden Stein, and see the process of art being made in-house by Heather Robinson.

Music Art Pre-order

Save the date! Popup in SF November 17-20

Music art by Bughouse has been one of our top sellers at Secession Art & Design for the past decade. One of my favorite memories of curating art and events at the gallery was having a DJ play a song from every album in Tipping Point. This piece is a conversation starter, with its albums printed on wood. I love all the stories people have told me based on records from this piece that are nostalgic to them.

For gifting on a smaller scale, we are bringing back the photographs of record spines on canvas from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Playing vinyl is an essential part of my life with my family. We have some epic dance parties with our three-year-old while exposing him to music. What is your favorite album?

You rock, Eden

PS: If you are local, preorder online while these are in stock and choose to pick them up at our Gift Art Popup, November 17-20 at 307 Cortland in SF. We can also ship anywhere in the US.
